A pool service you never have to check up on.
Afloat is owned and run by Katie and Ryan, two Pensacola locals with a web business and, like half the people we know here, a backyard pool. We started Afloat because the pool-service story we kept hearing was always the same: sometimes they come, sometimes they don't, and you find out which by looking at the water.
Three decisions, made on purpose.
Most of what makes a pool service good or bad is decided before anyone touches a net. These are ours.
A set day, kept
Your route day is your route day. Rain doesn't move it. If a named storm or lightning shuts the routes down, you get a text with the makeup day, not silence.
Proof on every visit
A photo of the pool and the chemistry readings, texted before the tech leaves. It started as a way to keep ourselves honest and turned out to be the thing customers like most.
Cleaning only
Florida licenses pool repair for a reason. We stay on the cleaning-and-chemistry side of that line, so we never have a reason to "find" a repair. When something on the equipment pad needs a licensed contractor, it goes in your report, and if you want a name we'll give you one. We don't take a fee for it.
Independent pros, held to one checklist.
Our techs are independent pool professionals who run their own trucks and gear and choose to take routes with us. What's ours is the standard: the same ten-step visit at every pool, the photo report, and a quality check on a share of stops every month with our own test kit. A tech who shows up and does the list is exactly who we want, and we pay per stop so the good ones earn well.
West of the bay, for now.
We started on the Pensacola side because it's where we live and where the routes stay tight. Gulf Breeze and Navarre come next, once these routes are full.
Tell us about the pool. We'll send a flat price and a day.
Screened or open, chlorine or salt. Most quotes go out within a few hours on weekdays.
